Pottery Wheel Lesson
with Jenny Cook

Join a local ceramicist to learn how to use a pottery wheel.
- Ages 9+, 12 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
- No prior ceramic experience required.
**Note that this is a two session class, one for making and one for glazing. Register for your glazing class HERE. If you're unable to attend the assigned glazing date, you may register for another, later, glazing class.

"Welcome to Frog Pond" with Cory Cavill

We are thrilled to announce that long-time songwriter and storyteller Cory Cavill, hailing from Rapid City, will be bringing her captivating performance, “Welcome to the Frog Pond,” to the Brookings Arts Council.
This incredible event will take place on June 8th, with a performance at 2:30 PM, and promises to mesmerize audiences with Cory's unique storytelling style and her ability to transport listeners into her world of vibrant characters and vivid imagery.

Ceramics Youth Camp
with Shelby Meyer

Ages: 9 - 14
Art teacher Shelby Meyer will guide students through the basics of hand-building techniques during this ceramics camp. Students will have the opportunity to make several ceramic projects that will be fired and glazed.
Please note that there are two sections of this camp being offered this year due to its popularity. The same content will be covered in each camp.
This camp is recommended for children ages 9-14.

Drawing & Painting Youth Camp
with Erik Ritter

Ages: 9 - 14
Would you be interested in something to inspire the kids this summer? During this four-day camp, artist Erik Ritter will guide students through the use and technique of drawing with graphite and colored pencils. He will also teach the basics of acrylic painting.
This camp is recommended for ages 9-14.
