You’ll learn simple slab-building techniques to design a custom charcuterie plate and a cozy candle holder, perfect for winter gatherings or gifting. Students will shape, texture, and personalize their pieces before they’re fired and finished.

Wood Carving Course - Beginner

Join local artisan Steve Hunter, an experienced wood carver since 1998, who has mastered the art using just one carving knife.
Designed for beginners aged 16 and above, this 6-hour course spread over three evenings introduces you to the timeless craft of wood carving. Whether you're new to carving or have tried it before but found it challenging, this class is perfect for you!
Registration in this three week course includes everything necessary for the class, and features a high quality beginner carving kit to take home—the same type of knife Steve uses in his work!
- Ages 16+
- Three 2-hour Tuesday evening classes
- All supplies provided, including necessary safety items

Independent Art Study (1/14)

Ages: 11 - 16
Join artist and instructor Eileen Binkley for Independent Art Study, a creative space for young artists in grades 5–10 to explore and develop their individual projects. Whether you’re painting, drawing, or experimenting with mixed media, Eileen provides personalized guidance and feedback to help you grow your skills and artistic voice.
- Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies to learn with materials they’re familiar with, but we'll have plenty of additional supplies and inspiration as needed!
- Class size is intentionally small—limited to five students per session—to ensure focused, one-on-one instruction.
